Overview:
This course is designed for students who wish to gain an understanding of the principles and practice of Business Management. Aimed at students new to management or those with management experience looking to gain recognised certification to prove their skills.

Learn how to:

  • Define managers role
  • Describe techniques for managing resources
  • List the legal requirements for recruiting staff
  • Describe techniques for retaining and parting with staff
  • Monitor and review staff performance
  • Apply good practice in developing staff
  • Define equal opportunities legislation requirements
  • Apply good practice  in disciplining staff
  • Understand techniques for managing time
  • Use methods of dealing with stress and crisis

Duration: Flexible - Approx 60 Hours - 12 Months Max Support

Assessment

All units will be internally assessed by the delivering college. No units are assessed by examination in EUAAB qualifications. Student will need to show that they meet each of the assessment criteria detailed within each unit, to the required standard for the level of the unit.

Appropriate entry requirements to the level of study are in place to ensure that applicants who have the likelihood of completing the programme are accepted.
