Level 3 Diploma in  Health And Social Care (Adults)


Overview:

​
The EUAAB Level 3 Diploma in Health And Social Care (Adults) (EQF) is a popular qualification. ​This qualification is to guide and assess the development of knowledge and skills relating to the health and social care workforce. This qualification confirms competence in these areas for roles such as:
  • Senior care assistants/support workers/key workers in residential settings, domiciliary services, day services
  • Senior healthcare assistants / support workers in community care, primary care, and acute health environments
  • Senior support workers in supported living projects
  • Community-based senior care assistants/ support workers/key workers, including those working in specialist areas eg dementia, learning disabilities
  • Personal assistants employed directly by the individual they support or their families
  • Emerging new types of workers & multidisciplinary health roles crossing traditional service barriers and delivery models.​

​The Level 3 Diploma in Health And Social Care (Adults) syllabus and assessment is suitable for students aged 16-19 as well as adult learners.​


Assessment:

All units will be internally assessed by the delivering college. No units are assessed by examination in EUAAB qualifications. Student will need to show that they meet each of the assessment criteria detailed within each unit, to the required standard for the level of the unit.

Duration: Flexible (Approximately 1200 Hours)

EXL325/N/1:  Engage in personal development in health, social care
EXL343/X/9:  Promote equality and inclusion in health, social care
EXL347/C/4:  Principles for implementing duty of care in health, social care
EXL351/Q/7:  Principles of safeguarding and protection in health and social care
EXL313/K/9:  The role of the health and social care worker
EXL391/N/2:  Support individuals to access education, training or employment
EXL351/P/2:  Promote Person Centred Approaches in Health and Social Care
EXL374/P/3:  Promote and Implement Health and Safety in Health and Social Care
EXL399/P/3:  Promote Good Practice in Handling Information in Health and Social Care Settings
EXL325/P/1:  Understand the Context of Supporting Individuals with Learning Disabilities
EXL338/P/2:  Interact with and support individuals using telecommunications 
​Admission Criteria

Appropriate entry requirements to the level of study are in place to ensure that applicants who have the likelihood of completing the programme are accepted.

Students looking to enrol onto this course should meet the following criteria:

  • Be aged 16 Years or above
  • Possess a solid knowledge of the English language
  • Have a genuine desire to succeed

** Please note: We also offer Level 3 Certificate  with 60 credits and 30 credits.
