The programme will typically be delivered as a 1‐ year full‐time study or a total of 42 weeks (including assignment submission weeks). An academic year is divided into six learning blocks with 7 weeks duration each. There will be three (3) contact days per week or a total of twenty one (21) contact hours per week; and thirteen (13) hours of self‐directed learning per week. A modular system approach is adopted to provide adequate coverage of the curriculum and to maintain learners’ interests. This approach is in contrast to the traditional technique where different papers are stretched throughout the semester which results in a tremendous amount of homework that learners have to accomplish on any given day. On the other hand, the modular approach gives learners the flexibility of concentrating on one module, thereby they are able to absorb the information more easily thus enhances their mastery of the subject matter instead of trying to rush through all the assignments/ projects. In addition, the modular system approach gives learners more time to engage in activity-based learning opportunities which eventually result in the mastery of the skills and improved learning experiences.
